Dear Dr. Sachs,

I am glad to hear that you are interested in the Psycho‑
Analytic Clinic in Schloss Tegel and that you want to assist us 
in our efforts to raise the necessary funds that are required for 
the enlargement of this new institution.  The Psycho‑Analytical 
Sanatorium in Tegel is the only one of its kind where severe cases 
of neuroses (as f.i.drug habits, alcoholism etc.) can find psycho-
analytic treatment. It has international importance not only for 
the therapeutic work that is done there but also because of the 
possibilities it offers for research work.

The funds that we are trying to collects will be used to 
add an insane asylum where the psycho‑analytic theory could be 
applied systematically to the treatment of psychotic patients.
